This is the great red rainbow which made a beautiful end to a rather gloomy day. Notice the bow is almost all red? That is due to the sunlight traveling long distances through the atmosphere and short wavelenght colors like green blue and violet will be scattered while longer wavelenght colors like the reds will remain. Notice the fragment of the secondary bow.
