A week of extreme thunderstorms east of the ranges finds me, on this occasion, sitting in a torrential deluge with the D70 and tripod on the passenger seat pointing out the rolled down window of the 4WD. Lots of lightning, then BOOM! Oh yeah right in frame.... DOH, bloody tree!!!!!!
It hit the ground a few KM's from my location and I would have captured the ground strike if not for the tree!
