Massive morning lenticular or wave cloud which began developing around 9:30 a.m. This photo taken shortly after 10 a.m. The weather is in transition from severe cold to highs in 30's and 40's.
Location: Just east and in the lea of Mt. Mitchell, highest point east of the Mississippi River, in Western North Carolina, as viewed from my yard 12 miles northeast of Mt. Mitchell and south of Bakersville.
